Jorj: Thanks. Looks as though Vix led the 10 dma cross on May 1st and then faded giving us the shot in the arm to push the spx up but the ndx has lagged in this push -- as pointed out before -- and vxn has acted in harmony with that observation.

What's your take on AMAT? Earnings today. I have doubled the position that I started this morning. (doh!)

The set-up is in place. 12-17 is the expected range according to comments out this morning. guidance of 10% revenue growth this quarter and 20% in the following quarter gets it there. i don't see it.

A quick glance at the numbers has AMAT at 5X revenues (5 year midpoint), an enormous PE (100+), no growth, 5 year low return on equity and assets and 3.5X book. A bargain by all metrics. :)
