JF,

The source of the information, were the defections of Saddam's two son-in-laws that took place in August, of 1995.

If you don't like Jim Gibbons as a source, how about Madeleine Albright?

Not him? How about Ambassador Rolf Ekeus, chairman of the U.N. Special Commission overseeing the destruction of Iraq's chemical, biological, nuclear and ballistic missile programs?

The fact is, that not even the Iraqi government denied the information. What they claimed, is that Saddam's son-in-laws were the one's who kept the secrets, and hiding information from the UN (till their defections in 1995).
