1. do your own research,
2. The reason for the high death rate of iraqi children is due to the diversion of funds from the oil for food program. If you were not from the right religion, klan or ethnic heritige in Iraq, you recieved none of the benefits.

I don't blame the Clinton Administration for the million or so that died as a result of sanctions - during the Clinton Administration.

I don't blame the Carter Administration for the hundreds of thousands that died as a result of Iran/Iraq war, that began during the Carter Administration.

I don't blame the Bush (41) Administration for the tens of thousands that died as a result of the Gulf War, and the unsucessful revolts in the north and south of Iraq.

I don't blame the UN for setting up the sanctions, or the United States for enforcing the sanctions.

If this were just about the lifestyles of Americans, there wouldn't never have been any sanctions, oil would be cheap, and Saddam would have his bomb (and to protect themselves, Kuwait and the Saudi's would have purchased a few atomic bombs w/ delivery systems from the Pakistanis).
