Hi, Jay, >>we must be closer to a bottom in Hong Kong now.<<

Hope you are right. A friend of mine was joking and said HK has had few good days after returning to China.<g>

>>I figure HK's future is remaining an offshore banking center for Asia/Greater China ala Bahamas, increasingly a wealthy residential enclave of primary or second homes for rich mainlanders ala Monaco, and becoming a fun palace ala Las Vegas.<<

Sure looks like it, and I bet some, if not a lot, of those rich mainlanders are corrupted officials<g>. And how about a shopping center for mainlanders? I thought there are still a lot of mainlanders like to go to HK shopping.

>>This direction of development means sharp adjustments in wealth distribution, income prospects, etc for most folks now living here, resulting in some winners and many losers.<<

You are absolutely right.

<<HK's future>> Interesting and sounds plausible. What do you see in the cityscape to warrant you statement, Jay!
