I may be paranoid, but I am mostly in physical gold and gold shares. And, I don't keep them on the brokerage account, just at a safe place, and keep the $ on savings account to a minimum. I told you why. I am expecting nothing short of thermonuclear financial blast, once the bonds start tanking. I don't expect FDIC insurance to work. Savings $ go directly to gold and OUT.
