Broadcom spoke at the Piper conference today. Not hearing anything groundbreaking, but company does seem to be upbeat about ADSL and broadband growth prospects. Comments appear to be contributing to strength in the stock intraday Joe Osha at Merrill Lynch downgraded ATI Technologies, Intersil, Maxim Integrated Products, Nvidia and Semtech, all to "neutral" from "buy," citing valuation and business conditions that do not appear to be as positive as the companies believe.
