The little guy loved the game as long as their stock was going up, in fact every time some analyst said something negative about their pets they screamed bloody murder, especially as the stocks reached the most unreasonable valuations. It was only when the market sold off that these little guys started screaming they were fleeced.

Frankly, I never read the buy side analyst's reports much except for entertainment purposes. I do my own research basically because I buy small companies with hard to predict earnings. The reason is a good one, almost everyone I knew who was an analyst got the job straight out of college with little or no training and started out doing analysis on the kind of companies I like. Its where the houses started people out, before they knew anything.
