To those that bash BBC : you have probably not had the opportunity to listen to BBC radio news when no TVs were around. For me and my family it was the most reliable source of information. My dad used to "hush" us for 30 minutes every night at 9PM IST for 2 reasons - he could set his watch to the BBC beeps, and we all got coverage of what was happening in OUR country better than any other media provided.

For example, during the recent war the BBC aired a program talking about Bush's Christian faith which clearly, clearly insinuated that Bush is a Christian fanatic whose real motive for starting the Iraqi war was to bring on the wars of Gog and Magog and start the End Times rolling. Is this beserk or what?

At this level of the conversation, we are definitely on the same page. If I watched Fox enough, I'm certain I could find parallels.

My argument is not that the BBC is perfect; just that it's better at reporting and analysis, in general. And, more particularly, better when I watch. And the value I use to support the "better" is the one of willingness to distance themselves from the powerful. Not be mindlessly critical, as one found on Fox during the Clinton years. But thoughtfully so as one found on the NYTimes during the Clinton years. Now, that sentence should give you some material for an exchange.

When was that program aired?
