(REUTERS) RESEARCH ALERT-First Albany raises EMC rating to "neutral"

NEW YORK, May 14 (Reuters) - First Albany on Wednesday said
it raised its investment rating for data storage maker EMC
Corp. <EMC.N> to "neutral" from "underperform."
"We continue to believe EMC is dramatically overpriced for
its fundamental business model," said analyst Mark Kelleher in
a research note.
"However, we believe the valuation has separated from
fundamentals, similar to the stock movement in 2001-02. Without
a negative catalyst, there is no reason the valuation could not
continue to inflate," he said.
EMC stock closed at $10.10 on the New York Stock Exchange
on Tuesday.
