Chalk up a bad week for bears, unless they can profit in some way from todays government reports
finance.yahoo.com
Channels all broken now, on intc, fdry, jnpr,Dell
Where to now?
Dell will be less subject to the "dead PC analyst crowd" and becomes more like an efficient Ebay or Amzn
Efficient because they have the advantage of on-line sales (which saves taxes), plus they often assemble their own products and control the quality.
Dell response to earnings a bit hard to figure as always, stock usually rises in week before earnings as it did, then drifts down as it just did, then bounces a bit after earnings.
Earnings normally are right one, only 2 misses in about 27 quarters.
They have been very cautious about forward looking statements, which helps stabilize the stock price and be able to meet estimates
I think they are now in a position to say some clearer words about the next quarter or year, depending on how the new printers, ink, switches are selling or how contracts are developing.
Will they do that? I dont know, which leaves everyone guessing.
Dell could have made a good profit on calls, if they had bought the 25 to 30 strike calls, but the profits may be reported in the next quarter rather than this one. .
Under these uncertain conditions, IMO Dell price should hold somewhere over 30 which will be bonus and inspiration to call-holding employees

Bush baby has thrown millions at the sector and FCEL is converting pooh to electrons. <g> it's true, I love the idea. I see no reason why they can't place fuel cell generating plants at our dumb sites through the states. I really think Fuel Cells will change our lives in a most multifaceted and positive way. Check out the si FCEL board for more. Subject 36819 Donny was trading during the jump. I'm thinking longer term. It's still a buy, maybe after it digest the the big pop, though. <g> IMHO.
