well, I dont recall Cramer saying to short, what I remember is him saying he sold his bonds to take the profit and would rebuy at the time the 10 year hit 5%... in fact I did short, and was up for a time, when bonds turned I got out with a $150 loss - didn't seem too big to me. I don't usually find myself defending Cramer, but on this issue I think he made a good call that didn't turn out as for Merrill Lynch, I wouldn't trust them to take out my garbage.
