As I understand it (and I could well be wrong) CIPH's IP is in the machine itself and in any biomarkers it discovers along the way.

Correlogic (I think) focuses on software for teasing out biomarkers from the mass of data produced by either CIPH's machine or something like it (like Advion's machine).

In actual practice, once you have identified the particular biomarkers of interest for some disease, I assume you would use some sort of immunoassay to measure them for population screening, not a mass spec type instrument.
