To add to my elation on my first of 3 days off SIRI revised estimates (Sirius Satellite gains after reporting Q1 results (9:43 AM ET) Shares of Sirius Satellite(SIRI)are gaining 6 cents, or 4.9 percent, to $1.29 after the satellite radio service provider said it subscribers in the first quarter totaled 68,000, representing a 127 percent increase over the year-end 2002 figure. The stock was up as 15 percent at $1.42 earlier in the session. Net income for the quarter ending March was $51.9 million, or 16 cents a share, versus a loss of $1.22 a share in the year-earlier period. Adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) loss widened to $75 million from $36 million in the same period a year ago, while revenue increased to $1.6 million from $33,000. Analysts surveyed by Reuters Research were expecting an EBITDA loss of $61.8 million and revenue of $1.8 million, on average.)
