FGX traded under 4 $ ? well, how many shares went through THAT low...and, wasn't the POG a fair bit lower than now...gold seemed pretty hopeless in those days, and i think there were days FGX didn't trade at all

The lowest FGX traded in the last 5 years is $C4.85. The Marlin discovery came in October 2000 and the stock was at $6 gold at $275. It then move down to $4.85 while gold was making a double bottom near $255. A very different environment than today.

BTW ELiz, You seem to be sure that the gold bull is on. I am not. There is no confirmation yet and we could well stay in a trading range all year. That is why I have suggested staying with the explorers rather than the Barrick, Glamis and other producers of the world. Even the mature explorers with reserves might remain idle if gold does what I think it will. Until the bull is confirmed, there is only one way to go. CKG is certainly my favorite for the reasons I gave you, but I could had several other names including Radius, Aquiline, Cardero, Ima, Canico, Tumi and others.
