On March 5, 2003, Enerplus closed the acquisition of all of the
outstanding shares of PCC Energy Inc. and PCC Energy Corp. (collectively,
"PCC") for cash consideration of $165.8 million after adjustments. The PCC
transaction demonstrates our focus on asset quality as this acquisition
provides high-quality, long-life deep gas reserves in large established pools
with drilling potential. Enerplus acquired approximately 4,380 BOE/day of
production and 17.2 MMBOE of established reserves. With approximately 79% of
the value concentrated in eight properties, the asset base is also highly
focused.
