Joe, Ayn Rand was railing against the Stalinist system at that passage. She fully understood the evil of the gulag system. How does Stalin's gulag differ in any real sense from the racially motivated prison-industrial complex that Wackenhut, ALEC and the other fascists have created in the U.S.? I don't see much difference. To paraphrase Forrest Gump: "Totalitarianism is as totalitarianism does." Two million hapless victims of a scandalously ridiculous "criminal injustice" system prove that we are on the wrong path. Except if you are a Wackenhut executive who is happy to get rich by ruining other people's lives for fun and profit. How are those evals going, bucko?
