(1)PIMCO or Vanguard TIPS funds are the answer for the conservative portion of an investment account, the other legs being (2)a foreign currency based account with either international bonds (select your own duration preference, mine would be the lower the better) or something like Everbank with FDIC accounts denominated in foreign currencies, and (3) precious metals stocks (I prefer gold and the undervalued producers like GOLD, IAG/IAM, WHT/WRM). Select your own risk preference and timing.
