Hmmm... I don't see anything being "exposed" as a lie, merely denied.

And of course, even if the source is valid, the US is hardly going to confirm that we have spies working inside the French government (or that we're monitoring their communications). Thus, the French, knowing we won't reveal intelligence "sources and methods", can easily deny all they want.

But they STILL will NEVER be able to deny the cozy relationship that France and Saddam's brutal regime held. And how the French, in the interest of their own oil interests through Total-Fina/Elf, preferred a butchering despot over forcing compliance with BINDING UNSC resolutions.

They will NEVER be able to deny that they, along with the Russians, manipulated the UNSC in a cynical effort to protect Saddam's regime.
