Have read it and agree.... very compelling.

In bad times, consumer expenditures on energy can fall, but then of course, warfare tends to rise in bad economic times, and wars tend to use up energy at a remarkable rate (those big tanks we all watched ploughing across the desert employ 3/4 inch fuel lines!!). (g)

The only thing rising at a faster rate then energy use are the estimations of world oil supply.
