Add to that in Seattle at least, self serve, checkout, and bagging at QFC grocery stores & self serve & checkout Home Depot. It takes me longer and provides more hassles, but the good news is they don't charge extra for it. Luckily, I get my cash ahead of time at the ATM at the corner self serve gas station.
