Political defeat has always cleaned up the shit in the losing party. Not that Hillary would stop running over policemen with her limo at Ground Zero, and not that Leahy could suddenly be trusted again with classified information. Those passionate enemies of America will always be the same. The cheap political hacks like Harry Reid, Jeff Bingaman, Max Baucus, etc., who kow tow to the domestic enemy in exchange for the most tawdry political favors, would see the writing on the wall, and either retire, or go try to suck up to the party in power...
