well, maybe not 200...but nano-technology is certainly an inspiring field for tech speculators. one day it's probably going to be a big industry...whether the current crop of stocks in this sector will be among the winners is however very much open to question. it's too early to judge (they all have minuscule revenues and post losses for the time being). recall that the early PC pioneer companies all were eclipsed by competitors that entered the field at a later stage. nanotech may be a bit different in that it makes extensive use of patented processes...but again it isn't easy to sort out what products will become big sellers. NANX has developed an interesting surface coating material for photomasks that looks like a good potential future revenue source. ALTI otoh seems to have some ideas regarding medical applications (a fine tuned nano drug delivery system). so there's potential, but whether it will be realized remains to be seen.
