energyplay, Yeah, I got my eyes on some a them EP Jan '05 LEAP calls, haven't decided which strike yet. A year from now all the BS from winding down their merchant trading segment will have wound itself down, and it'll be a really simple company to understand. You got a pipeline business churning out about a bill. & a half a year of EBITDA like clockwork, and then you got this North American E&P business with the best & the brightest, drilling in all the best plays around.

The cash flow from the pipelines pays all the juice on their massive debt and you're then able to just keep recycling the cash flow you get on the E&P side.

Not really following ELH play. Doesn't sound like a good sign if there are no big boys in it. Maybe its a good hype play though. (That is, play it but make sure you sell most of your holdings pre-drill). In times of high commodity prices such as the present the greed quotient goes off the charts and hype plays can be very financially rewarding, if timed right!
