HI SOROS, The market is a supply and demand equation. Read "How To Make The Stock Market Make Money For You",by a Mr Ted Warren. He was an eighth grade educated, Millionaire by his mid forties.He understood accumulation,consolidation,fast price markup,and final distribution. It is a market of stocks - and many stocks are in different phases, all at the same time. It is an eye opener - I was priviledged to know Ted - he was a great man to many of us "investors and speculators who strive to gain a little more from our capatalistic system". This will be a good start - then Study Chief ,as his life has defined the study to a new level of understanding the stock market,in a quantifiable way.
