Phillips holds a B.S. degree in computer science from the United States Air Force Academy, an M.B.A. in finance from Hampton University in Virginia and a J.D. from New York Law School. He is a member of the Georgia State Bar and the Washington D.C. Bar and a chartered financial analyst (CFA). Phillips has been recognized as one of the top 50 black professionals on Wall Street by Black Enterprise Magazine.
