Torpedoing the Chinese continues: 3 doesn't worry competitors. Representatives from Swedish operators Tele2 and Vodafone express their opinion on competitor 3's official 3G launch and current branding campaign in Sweden. According to DI, Tele2 and Vodafone claim it is better to wait to launch live 3G services, saying there are not yet sufficient numbers of phones on the market and that technical network problems are not yet fully solved. (Dagens Industri)

UK analysts view on operator 3. DI speculates on the future of operator 3's UK operations, owned by the Hong Kong based conglomerate Hutchison Whampoa, NTT DoCoMo (Japan) and KPN Mobile (the Netherlands). According to DI, the UK analyst firm Enders believes that within three years 3 will have ceased to exist and that they will not reach set subscriber targets. The paper points out that 3 has had technical problems since the start in the UK. (Dagens Industri)

Talk about sour grapes :-)
