Andrew,
Hi!!

RE: Re handhelds, I didn't know that this was not a profitable item for them. Last question on the CC addressed wireless handhelds, and mgt affirmed that they will be coming out with a new suite of wireless models.

I'm assuming that printers are also loss-leaders, priced to build the recurring ink supply business. Is this correct?

Oh, I'm sure they make money on such...Packaging them with other higher margin products is what I believe is their strategy...And, ink: Well, ink and the topic ink has been a very closely guarded subject...I have never heard nor read of how DELL plans on leveraging this new item against the competition...It's old now...but, HP makes a fortune on ink...And, perhaps is their one profitable area still not underattack from DELL..A rather obvious reason why DELL is entering this arena...

Best, Kemble
