<<Victor, is it not possible that the reports of the "mess" that reflects daily life in Iraq are correct and that the population will be very quick to forget what the brutal dictator did and focus on what they are currently experiencing and blame the americans...like i keep saying, freedom is just another word for nothing left to loot... >>

retired, it's great you think so highly of the average Iraqi. Why don't you just come out and call them "desert monkeys" or something like that? It would save us readers a lot of time. Highly insulting.

But don't trouble yourself. Your racist attitude comes through loud and clear.

<<let us also be so thankful that the "body bags" scenario did not occur in the numbers discussed, >>

Yeah, let us be so thankful that the leftist morons continue to prove themselves to be morons, incapable of clear rational thought or analysis.

<< i think it was pointed out that if there WERE WMD's available they might have been used on the american troops >>

You miss the point. If the WMD had been used, the iraqi military would have forfeited their surrendur option.

Any more questions on that topic?

<< you have an opinion on Saudi Arabia...the Americans are withdrawing troops, then there is a terror attack...do you think this was a good decision ? >>

As i immediately said when the withdrawals were announced, and I believe I was the first on this thread to mention the withdrawles, I think it is an excellent move. Long overdue.

In all your hysteria, perhaps you forgot that the US still has 55,000 troops in West Germany (oooops unified Germany I forgot.. seems some old/new europe things still linger.. ).

Should we get them out of there? I say yes.

The again, we still need a friendly airbase over there so the next time (another year or two) we save the Euros' asses we have somewhere to stopover our wounded on the way home.

So maybe I should think about that for a bit. We sure don't need 55,000 Americans to staff an airbase (and defend it against the unwashed german 'student' / terrorist protesters.
