Native, govern thyself!

Global Sunday

Friday, May 16, 2003

Native leaders don't like Ottawa's freshly proposed First Nations Governance Act, which calls on chiefs and band councils to be more accountable for the $7-billion spent each year subsidizing life on native reserves. Global Sunday asks: what's wrong with creating deeper accountability and greater democracy on reserve? Feature guests include Indian and Northern Affairs Minister Robert Nault and Chief Roberta Jamieson.

YUP!Time To Get Rid OF The Senate As It Stands Lino.

The gun registration is/was as bad an idea as the legalization of pot,but two wrongs don't make a right.

And this creating reefs off NFLD is something out of a NEWFIE joke book.I don't think they could have even come up with that one as joke...just too absurd..even for the NEWFIES.

These guys have no one to answer to.They just muddle along collecting their pay checks and bloated pensions.

Put senate reform on a separate ballot during the next election,I say.Let the people decide for once.
