CB, I don't think it's true that only the worst are put in the sars category in China. For a month I've noticed [and commented sometimes] on how many cases China had, but how few [relatively] deaths and how many recovered.

I had decided they were reporting anything so that they were not accused of hushing it up after the lid blew off and the Big Boss edicts were given to report all cases.

Initially they reported nothing and denied, then, when they realized they were in very big trouble, they decided they'd better play glasnost [belatedly]. Their delay no doubt has cost a lot of people their lives and a lot of others a lot of suffering and cost.

Meanwhile, they are nearing my magical number of 2:1 cumulative to recovered which means they've won and sars is on the way out.

Taiwan, with 272:46 cumulative to recovered is still in big big trouble and losing ground.
