You know, that is what this thread is all about - trying to come up with some ways of predicting what will happen. So far, I have 15 indicators which either lag, lead or are coincident with the markets... and all of them altogether see to work very reliably. These might be what you are referring to as new indicators. On the other hand, I have ones which I extract from Barron's information as well as various indicators I developed several years ago which seem to work not as well. I keep track of this information and still refer to it as well as the new stuff. And I totally agree, the new stuff works much better than the old stuff!
