Hello KyrosL, My data is 12 months old, but I believe more than 50% of 3-4 million Pt dug out each year goes for jewelry in China (1 mm oz) and Japan (1.5 mm oz), and China ramped from zero to 1 mm oz in about 5 years, overwhelming auto catalyst use. However, auto use is being broadened to diesel engined vehicles. However on the however, auto catalyst uses less Pt/Pd on unit basis due to tech improvement.

India can do good things for Pt even if it does half the effort of China. The publicly traded mines in S.Africa pay a generous dividend, and are I believe under-valued. The mines are all increasing production, and therefore have prospect to boost dividends down the road.

I can see a case for hoarding Pd. How are you doing it, via Russian Pd bullion coins or through KitCo (how is KitCo if you use them) paper Pd, or some other way?

Chugs, Jay
