How about you look up "stagflation" first, so we come to an understanding of what we are talking about?

I'm talking about the possibility of prices of imported necessities and componants spiking.

Certainly. And that will lead to a world of pain for manufacturers who import raw materials and sell mostly in the domestic market, since I doubt if they will be able to raise their prices accordingly. Still, it is not enough for stagflation.

Is not the trade weighted dollar moving lower?
