of credit cards,
my humble opinion of course. It's cleaning up.

Now us Americans will never give up spending tomorrow's money today.

Japan is a hoax or from those who've never interfaced with the people.

I lived in Japan most of the last 30 years and think much of what you said is half baked. Japanese rarely use Credit or credit cards they are basically a CASH society like in most parts of Asia.

Japan has done little to clean house. For most of the last 10 years the U.S. has been bashing Japan on how they were handling their economic problems and now Japan is still battling these problems but at the same time are watching America slide into the same defaltion quicksand.

In fact IMHO America's debts probems are much worse than in Japan because out debt is personal. Japanese family for years have been withdrawing their fund from the Japanese banking system and buying small gold bars and storing them in home safes which has been a real hot seller in Japan.
