Jay, sars is doomed. It was fun for you while it lasted. But like Saddam, it's history now - all over bar the shouting. I've been declaring victory for a couple of weeks now. Check out my handy-dandy graphs I've been updating since the beginning. It did look scary for a while, but then the old geezers in China realized they might be the first to die. That got them moving.

Cumulative deaths and weekly deaths graphs:
x = 10 deaths.
Cumulative deaths
26 Feb ?
..5 Mar x
12 Mar x
19 Mar x
26 Mar xx
...2 Apr xxxxx
...9 Apr xxxxxxxxxx
.16 Apr xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
.23 Apr xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
.30 Apr xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
..7 May xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [495]
.14 May xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx[587]
.19 May xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx[643]
On a weekly basis: Deaths for the week.
x = 10 deaths.
z = early days, fewer than 10 per week.
