( Incorrect, since Israel used cluster bombs during its invasion of Lebanon in 1982, which was the CAUSE of the formation with Hezbollah. Furthermore, to say that Israel was involved in a "struggle with Hezbollah" is misleading. Israel was occupying Lebanon, and Hezbollah just happened to be the most effective resistance force. It was Hezbollah that was struggling with Israel, not vice versa. ) Specifically, Israel dropped CBU-58 cluster bombs in the Palestinian refugee camps. globalsecurity.org Israel also used MK-20 Rockeye cluster bombs, "designed to kill tanks and armored vehicles", of which the PLO had none. globalsecurity.org ( Pity the Nation p. 277 )
