Good morning Darleen and thank you.

BTW, if I was that smart I would have been spiderman.

> I still think however that we are in one precarious currency position

Whichever way one looks, the USD has to be boss because if it tanks then what? Americans can't import, foreigners can't export. Americans sit with unpayable debt, foreigners sit with closed factories and unemployed workers. So, who wins? No-one. Thus, I expect to see the USD go up again, not because I have confidence in the system or the currency, but because there's no escape from it. In fact, not only are we all trapped in it, we are slaves to it.

Gold is not an escape nor a solution, neither is the Euro nor the Yen nor the Swiss Franc nor the Canadian Dollar. In fact, there is no solution --- because to seriously apply any solution which attempts to restore "equilibrium" --- to balance the imbalances --- means to destroy the game.

I thought of a phrase today which I think is appropriate for how one must try to survive --- one has to be a "bubble surfer". Wherever the bubble is, and the bigger the better, that's where one must swim --- and hope to get out before it pops.....

.....otherwise the deflation will get you!
