Good example.

Anyway, I never objected to higher monetary base being an inflationary factor. Although it clearly does not ensure inflation, as the Japanese case illustrates.

I would think that the Yen expansion would be somewhat subdued inflation in Japan due to the fact that Japan is a net exporter..

Anyway its all cause and effect, I'm on the side that says cause is higher monetary base and effect is higher prices.
