A techie playing around with SQL on his own server. I don't allow anyone but me and my best friend and favorite consultant anywhere near my SQL machine.

Because of the number of machines involved, we're getting close to a price point that makes the idea of bringing it in-house less unattractive provided I don't experience the same or worse problems with the connections that'd be run to my office.

However, the ISP also has good backup power (enough UPS's plus a generator would cover me, too, I suppose) and decent security. And though they're not Class B yet, the room SI's (but not iHub's) servers are in is being made a Class B facility.

But on the other hand, I have a bank vault. Literally. The building I'm in was an 1800's bank.
