This is my kind of media critique. When you read this, bear in mind that the NY Times is frequently being blasted for being too liberal and too critical of the U.S. government.

seriously doubt the Federal Communication Commission will agree to your statement

Not so long as Powell Sr, Powell Jr. Bush Sr. and Bush Jr. are trading favors.

FCC Commissioners, Not a Monolithic Evil

Donald,

Re: TM: "The airwaves are a common resource and should not be assigned to a single user."

DM: I seriously doubt the Federal Communication Commission will agree to your statement.

The Commission is not a monolithic evil. Only Michael Powell fits that description. Abernathy appears to be happily bribed into intellectual stupefaction.

Kevin Martin is the outlier, a sometimes honest Repuglican, in spite of the oxymoronic nature of his stance.

And Michael Copps and Jonathan Adelstein are decidedly not voting to sell out America to the greedheads as Powell so sinfully is doing.

I'd think that Adelstein and Copps would each take exception to your gratuitously superficial and disingenuous blanket assertion.
