As I said before, the scriptural content of either religion is totally irrelevant to the matter at hand. What matters is the actual behaviour of religious leaders, which has seldom had even the vaguest connection to scriptural content. They decide what they want to do, and twist the words to provide justification. That’s the way it always has been, and the way it always will be, unless the temporal power of religious leaders is constrained by effective secular government. It doesn’t matter if the religious leaders in question are Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, Wiccan, or "other".
