I thought the language in the article was unuduly vicious and the political moral overdrawn. There is homophobia in a great many sectors in the US. It's one of those things that surveys have a difficult time measuring. A lot of folk say one thing to an interviewer, but act a different script. If one gives Clinton some credit for knowing the electoral limits on this thing, as opposed to the morality, then that lies somewhere in the zone of state sanctioned marriage.
