Hi Puck,

SI did a complete reversal of its disclosure "policy" quite some time ago now. In the most recent case that I know of, SI refused to comply with a lawyer-issued subpoena requesting the private information of approximately 41 posters on SI and RB. The case was ultimately dropped...

When I get a chance, I'll review written policy and change it as needed.

iHub's policy has been (and SI's is now, whether it already was or not) that no information will be given without a valid subpoena being issued. And when subpoenas are issued, unless they specifically (and legally can) forbid us from doing so, we'll notify the users named in it.

We even had one from the SEC recently and still gave everyone timely enough notification to quash it if they wanted to.

Also note that as part of the move, we have nobody's email or snailmail address. A subpoena will only yield an IP address.
