Hi Kerry,
I don't trade to strip the dividend (not that smart or quick as a rule either) but if you've followed the posts with energyplay and Jay on BBR you know I've been way overweight in trusts paying dividends for a quite a while.
I trade a little other stuff as the opportunity arises and often I'll sit on some cash winnings or accumulate some dividends and just be opportunistic around the various 'dividend' dates. There are often opportunities to add to existing positions which equate to getting a dividend payout or more by biding one's time. Just a peculiarity of these instruments and peoples' psyches I guess but it adds up.

regards
Kastel
