I meant socialist vs 'totalitarian rule'!

I thought a totalitarian was merely a socialist in a hurry??.. :0)

Btw, the US is a mixed economy.. sharing some aspects of the socialist structure... And with moderation, that's a good thing.. But too much socialism stifles innovation and motivation.

And it provides tremendous opportunity for politicians to parcel out the wealth of their citizens to their own favorites "charities".
