Glad to see you expressing an opinion on the topic.

I suppose it comes down to one's definition of "solicitation". Pointing out the availability of a possible investment situation to an acquaintance doesn't fall into "solicitation" for me. As well, if a director of a company is fulfilling his responsibilities properly, he should not just sit back and leave the hard slugging (and raising money is just that these days) to "someone else". Damned if he does and damned if he doesn't is how I see it. I know that if I was involved with a start-up, I would want the directors to be working hard to keep it functioning.
