As if supporting the willing would help export beef from a country with infected herds.

Are you really that naive, Noel? They have one dead cow. How long this ban goes on depends on:

1) How many others are found to be infected.

2) How long the administration wants to take lifting the ban.

Pretty easy. It's the old doctrine of an enemy of my friend is my enemy. They clearly think Canada is an enemy because they failed to agree with the US on the Iraq war. So, enter David Frum, to write screeds. Just ignore them.

From this I can only conclude that you've spent insufficient time perusing NRO, the WSJ editorial page, Debka, and lord knows how many other similar infallible purveyors of "THE TRUTH" so favored by local conservatives. To paraphrase the old Gerber slogan, drivel is their business - their only business.
