Just because you fail to read the news doesn't mean I ought to be obliged to babysit you.

ROFLMAO!!!! Don't make me spew my beer through my nose.. It hurts too much...

Having you intellectually "babysit" ANYONE would amount to criminal negligence. Of course, since there is an utter lack of qualifications for your average babysitter, maybe the analogy is appropriate...

This has appeared repeatedly on SI. Where have you been burying your head?

Hmmm... I say NOTHING in there that alledged, let alone documented, that Bush "made a deal" with Saddam for his escape. Only the question as to how he escaped...

Of course, they "conveniently" ommitted the fact that Bush started the war with an assassination attempt against Saddam via a couple of "bunker busters"... I guess that was part of the deal too??

As for the rest of it, it was STATED FROM THE EARLIEST MOMENT OF THE WAR that the US was in negotiations for the Special Republican Guard to demobilize and go home rather than fight. Thus, the fact that we made "special arrangements" with some of those generals comes as little surprise to me (so long as they're were no obivous war crimes that could be attested towards them)..

Negotiating with these leaders was integral towards insuring that no WMDs would be used, if available to them...

As for secret intelligence files, I also am disappointed that the US didn't have sufficient "doc-ex" teams standing by to secure, translate, and analyze them. But the task is monumental, given the quantity of records, and the language challenges. And various reporters have broken any number of stories about the dealings between France and Saddam, as well as the Galloway story.. None of which seems to interest you..

And btw, the next time you decide to engage in a battle of wits, you might want to leave your peashooter home..
