Speaking of identity theft ...

Using your favorite search engine, do an Internet search for your credit card numbers. One of mine was included in a block of numbers that somebody had posted on a Russian website. Somebody had hacked into a bank's database and copied hundreds of the numbers. I reported the site to the bank, and they contacted Federal authorities who somehow got the site shut down. Who knows how many copies of that information were distributed around the world.

There wasn't much damage done (to my account, anyway). The bank's fraud detection department notified me when my number was used to buy some stuff online that didn't fit my "buying profile". Love those computers !!

They issued me a new account number, and my wife was free to melt plastic again.
