I don't know what he will answer.

But my answer is, though I wouldn't use the word contrast, yes, good has no meaning unless there is also non-good. Whether you call non-good evil is a definitional question. But you can only recognize a value if its lack also exists. Otherwise, there is nothing to make you realize that it exists.
